RIYADH, Nov. 26, (Xinhua) -- The Saudi-led coalition involved in the war in Yemen announced on Tuesday the release of 200 Houthi prisoners.

Turki Al Maliki, the coalition spokesman, said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency that the decision aims to further implement the Stockholm Agreement which includes the exchange of prisoners.

In cooperation with the World Health Organization, people in need of healthcare can receive proper medical care, he added.

The step was taken following the Riyadh agreement signed between the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council in Saudi Arabia early this month.

The main points of the deal include the return of the exiled elected government to Aden within seven days, the unification of all militaries under the authority of the Yemeni ministries of interior and defense, and the formation of an efficient government.
