MANAMA, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Bahraini Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on Sunday called on Arabs and Muslims to "put their weight behind sisterly Saudi Arabia," the official Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Saudi Arabia is the "pillar of Bahrain's stability, the basis of its security and peace and the main supporter to Arab and Islamic nations in the face of challenges," Al-Khalifa said during a meeting with royal family members and senior state officials.

The Bahraini prime minister warned of some social media accounts that "disseminate false and fabricated news and try to spark sedition."

He expressed confidence that the Bahraini people's awareness will "foil the malicious objectives of such accounts."
