SUVA, March 18 (Xinhua) -- Mosques in Fiji on Monday would held special Dua ceremonies for the families that lost their loved ones in the terror attacks in New Zealand's city of Christchurch last Friday.

A special place has also been set up at Samabula Jame Masjid in the Fijian capital Suva where people can send their condolences by placing flowers and messages.

Three Fijians, including Imam Hafiz Musa Patel, died in the mass shootings that killed 50 people. The other dead is 58-year-old Ashraf Ali who was visiting his brother in Christchurch and Ashraf Ali who moved to New Zealand seven years ago.

On Saturday, Fijian Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said at an open prayer for Christchurch victims that Muslims in the island nation were safe and loved.
