JAKARTA, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia is aiming for two gold medals from tennis at the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) to be held later this year, relying on its women's doubles and mixed doubles pairs to accomplish the target.

Rildo Ananda Anwar, chairman of Indonesia Lawn Tennis Sport Association (Pelti), said the target is achievable.

"We have reported to the sports and youth minister that we think we can get two gold medals in women's doubles and mixed doubles," Rildo said here on Monday.

Intensive training would commence in August, Rildo said, adding that Pelti has shortlisted five female and five male tennis players to join the program.

Indonesia's main opponents in the SEA Games tennis are estimated to be from Thailand and host country the Philippines, he added.

In the 2018 Asian Games, mixed doubles pair Christopher Rungkat/Aldila Sutjiadi secured a gold for Indonesia in the final held in Palembang after outclassing their Thai contenders, while another local favorite pair reached the women's doubles quarterfinals.

The 30th SEA Games are slated for November 30 to December 11 in the Philippines, and are expected to draw least 9,840 athletes from 10 countries from the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN).
