BEIJING, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Former NBA player Jimmer Fredette scored a game-high 37 points, pacing Shanghai Sharks to beat Liaoning Flying Leopards 104-91 in the third round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Thursday evening.

Shanghai established a 10-point lead in the first quarter as Fredette and Luo Xudong combined for 14 points at the very beginning of the game.

After the defending champions narrowed it to six in the second quarter, Fredette made a string of three-pointers to expand the difference to 15 and Shanghai led the first half by 12.
