ACCRA, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- A joint delegation of world soccer governing body FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) named a 4-member normalization committee on Thursday to steer the affairs of football in Ghana for the next six months.

The members of the committee are Kofi Amoah, who will serve as the committee's president, Lucy Quist, (vice president), Kofi Dua Adonten (member) and Naa Adofoley Nortey (member). A fifth member is expected to be picked in due course.

They are mandated to oversee all football activities in the country while ensuring that the necessary reforms needed are introduced and implemented.

The team is also charged to review the GFA status and ensure compliance requirements with FIFA.

"Having met the compliance requirements of FIFA, the committee will be eligible to organize and conduct elections for new GFA officials," said a release issued by the Sports Ministry after the delegation's three-day visit to the country.

In addition, the normalization committee will act as electoral committee whose decisions will be final, said the release.

The committee has been given end of March next year complete its work by instituting the necessary reforms and ensure that the GFA is ready for election of substantive members of the executive committee.

FIFA announced last month its decision to appoint a normalization committee to run Ghana football.

This follows a documentary by award-winning journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas that exposed bribery and corruption in the administration of football in the West African country.

The revelations which shocked soccer-loving Ghanaians resulted in the government dissolving the GFA and stopping all football-related activities across the country.
