NAIROBI, July 14 (Xinhua) -- Secretary general of Kenya's ruling Jubilee Party said Kenya is keen to borrow lessons from the Communist Party of China (CPC) in a forum held in Nairobi on Saturday.

Raphael Tuju said that CPC has been able to unite a country of more than 1.3 billion people so that socio-economic development can take place, and his party is keen to borrow lessons from that.

The secretary general said to strengthen itself, the Jubilee Party is exploring possibilities of establishing a party school to inculcate a culture of discipline among party members.

He also noted that Jubilee is prioritizing enhancing its fight against corruption in order to eliminate wastage of public resources.

Hu Jianhua, executive deputy head of the Party School of the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee, said political parties need to raise party disciple among party officials so that they do not lose focus on the goal to improve the lives of ordinary citizens.

"From my personal understanding and experience, ruling parties should ensure party members adhere to code and conduct of party so that the country can achieve prosperity," Hu said during a training forum for Jubilee Party by the CPC.

Kenya's ruling party said it is using the forum to gain knowledge on how to strengthen the party to ensure its long-term survival.
