GAZA, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Israeli army drones fired two missiles targeting bombing kites launchers in the Gaza Strip on Friday, with no injuries reported.

The first missile was fired at a group of Palestinian activists who were flying kites and balloons carrying Molotov cocktails from eastern Gaza into Israel, witnesses and Hamas security sources said.

The missile landed east of al-Bureij refugee camp close to the border with Israel.

The second missile targeted a motorbike close to the refugee camp tents, the sources added.

Following the two airstrikes on eastern Gaza, dozens were evacuated from the area.

Despite the warning airstrikes from Israel, the Kites and Balloons Unit in Gaza said in a statement that the launch of 5,000 kites and balloons targeting Israel will not stop.

"The enemy's warplanes and drones won't scare us or prevent us from launching and flying our kites into our occupied territories," it said.

An Israeli army spokesman also confirmed the two airstrikes on eastern Gaza, warning that such attacks against the launch of bombing kites will carry on.

Israeli media said an estimated 25 square km of agricultural fields inside Israel were badly burned by the bombing kites and balloons from Gaza.

According to health ministry in Gaza, Israeli forces have killed at least 128 Palestinians, and injured 14,000 others since March 30, the first day of the ongoing Palestinian "Great March of Return" rally against Israel's 12-year crippling blockade and the U.S. embassy move to the disputed holy city of Jerusalem.
