PYEONGCHANG, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Canadian snowboarder Sebastien Toutant won the gold medal of men's Big Air at the PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games here on Saturday.

After collecting 174.25 points from his first two runs, 84.75 and 89.50 respectively, Toutant became the third Canadian man to win a snowboard gold medal at the Winter Olympics.

"I just love snowboarding so much and I've been through so much lately.

"To be here, come so close and do well in slopestyle and to actually take the win today in Big Air, at the first ever Big Air at the Olympics, it's awesome," said Toutant, who sat bottom in the slopestyle event in PyeongChang.

"Today I knew I had the tricks and I knew I could've done well, I'm just so happy it's gone my way. I put down my first two runs, I mean, that's the best scenario you can ask for," he added.

Kyle Mack of the United States finished second with 168.75 points. The bronze medal went to Billy Morgan of Britain in 168.00.
