JERUSALEM, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Israel on Tuesday insisted that the UN atomic agency should check an Iranian site which Israel claims to be a "secret atomic warehouse" in the Iranian capital Tehran.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) should visit the site in Turquzabad, Israeli Prime Minister's Office said in a statement, despite the IAEA's insistence earlier Tuesday that it had visited all the sites it "needed to visit,"

"The IAEA relates to inspections that it has carried out in various places in Iran but does not relate to the specific site in Turquzabad which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu referred to in his UN speech," the statement said.

"There is no reason to wait," the statement said, adding that the IAEA must inspect the site immediately and "the Prime Minister's words will be seen as verifiably true."

In his address at the UN General Assembly on Thursday, Netanyahu accused Iran of holding a "secret nuclear warehouse" in Turquzabad.

Iranian officials have denied the allegations, while accusing Israel of secretly developing and owning nuclear weapons, which should come under international inspection.

On Tuesday, IAEA chief Yukiya Amano rebuffed Netanyahu's accusations, saying the agency had checked all relevant sites in Iran and found no breaches to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, which the U.S. has quitted.

"As I stated in my reports to the IAEA Board of Governors, evaluations regarding the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities for Iran remain ongoing," he added.
