BUDAPEST, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Japan continued to impress on the second day of the 2018 Budapest Judo Grand-Prix, with its competitors earning the gold medals in women's 63 kg, 70 kg and silver in men's 73 kg and 81 kg categories here on Saturday.

On the second day of the competition, the Japanese Aimi Nouchi took the gold medal in the women's 63 kg category, defeating German Martyna Trajdos in the final. Bronze medals went respectively to Andreja Leski, from Slovenia and to Agata Ozdoba-Blach from Poland.

In this category, Chinese competitor Yang Junxia was eliminated in her second fight by gold medalist Nouchi.

In the women's 70 kg category, Saki Niizoe from Japan won the gold. Sanne Van Dijke of the Netherlands grabbed the silver, while two bronze medals went respectively to Sally Conway from Britain and Kelita Zupancic from Canada.

Liu Hongyan, representing China in women's 70 kg category, was eliminated in her first fight by Maria Perez from Puerto Rico.

In the men's 73 kg category, Hungary's Miklos Ungvari won the gold. Japan took the silver thanks to the skills of Masashi Ebinuma, while Arthur Margelidon from Canada and Frigyes Szabo from Hungary shared the bronze medals.

In the men's 81 kg category, Alan Khubetsov from Russia won the gold. Kenya Kohara added a silver medal for Japan, while Sagi Muki from Israel and Robin Pacek from Sweden finished jointly third.

On Sunday, the final day of the tournament feature the men's 90 kg, 100 kg and +100 kg, and women's 78 kg and +78kg finals.
